Fragrance Profile
1740 Marquis de Sade
Birth year of a Parisian philosopher and writer Donatien Alphonse François who is remembered as Marquis de Sade. Famous for his libertine sexuality, he claimed to be a proponent of absolute freedom, unrestrained by morality, religion or law.
The libertine writer would undoubtedly have enjoyed the audacity of this oriental woody spicy fragrance which is nothing short of an invitation to pleasure with its bergamot and Davana Sensualis notes. Its dry down is dominated by the earthy exotic patchouli and sweetish dry, herbaceous everlasting flower.
