Perhaps no other perfume note has as rich a history of musk. Also known by the French spelling musc, it’s a timeless ingredient that adds animalic notes and a compelling olfactory depth that’s at once intimate yet slightly remote, a blend of innocence yet sexual charm, as the ideal ingenue. The notes are entirely linear, highly addictive and delightfully simple – a freshly bathed woman right from the shower. Refreshing orange blossom adds a clean, lightly green scent, while smooth cashmeran lends its powdery white floral aroma. The most undefinable note is the heart of musc, a mysteriously floral and pure form of natural musk that is beautiful, clean and cold for a dry sillage and moderate longevity. It’s refreshing on warm days but crisply fresh, like wind blowing new-born through snow-covered trees, in colder weather.
